Destruction of the Santa Monica Pier--"Life After People"

For the episode of "Life After People" entitled Waves of Destruction I was asked to
take a picture of the Santa Monica Pier and to age it 5 years after people.  I was
then to animate parts of the wheel falling apart as a large wave strikes the pier.
Above is the resulting comp I created.  I created this entire sequence with 2D
layers and effects in After Effects and Photoshop.
